Before you start

How does AskInstead choose follow-up questions?

AskInstead checks each answer against your question and goal. Smart mode allows one clarification per question. You can allow more detail or disable follow-ups.

How is this different from a form?

A form records what people type. AskInstead asks about the details that are still missing, by voice or text. You get a brief that you can start from.

Can I try it before signup?

Yes. Describe your goal, edit the questions, and get a free test link. Answer it and see your private brief without signup. Each preview includes one response, up to five minutes. Test answers expire within 24 hours.

Do recipients need an account?

No. Recipients open your shared link and answer by voice or text.

How does usage work?

Each finished conversation uses one response; voice also uses voice minutes. Paid allowances reset at renewal. When voice minutes run out, recipients can use text; when responses run out, add usage or change plans to continue.

Can I collect sensitive information?

Check privacy, consent, and professional requirements before collecting sensitive information. Recipients see a recording notice before voice starts. The legal and medical samples show information collection, not professional advice.
